Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A non-profit organization is helping local teens learn about safe driving.

Driver's Edge is a national program, based in Las Vegas, that provides free classes to teens to help them stay safe on the road.

They're able to get behind the wheel, with professional drivers, and experience panic braking, skid control and evasive lane changes. Then they learn how to avoid, or get out of, those types of situations.

More than 350 teens and parents were out at the program this weekend.

NHP also had troopers at the event participating as instructors.
