Las Vegas Rescue Mission provides Thanksgiving meals to families
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Rescue Mission helped thousands of local families with their Thanksgiving meals.
The non-profit organization held its Turkey and Food Basket Giveaway Saturday.
2,500 turkeys, with food baskets full of traditional Thanksgiving fixings, were handed out.
Each year, the Mission has increased the number of families it has been able to help, but the need continues to grow.
City officials, business leaders, students and volunteers were at Saturday's event to help hand out the meals.
