Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- More than 600 students from Faith Lutheran Middle and High School are working to make Las Vegas a better place to live.

The students are helping senior citizens, making sandwiches for the homeless and reading to at-risk kids and homeless veterans.

The students' Day of Service is in its seventh year and is now a part of the school's mission.

This year, students volunteered with more than 30 local charities and elementary schools.
