Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Visitors on the Las Vegas Strip are giving a thumbs up to a cleanup.
They're seeing fewer street peddlers and performers in the wake of new county ordinances passed this summer, designed to protect tourism.
Florida resident Dee Crabtree says,"We save our money all year to have a nice vacation and we don't need people just trying to push everything on top of us." Pushy handbillers now have fifteen minutes to pick up anything they give out that gets dropped within 25 feet. The new littering ordinance follows one that bans sales. Only donations and tips can be solicited on a public right-of-way. Clark County is conducting a $581,000 study of pedestrian traffic on the strip. It's due to wrap up within weeks.
