The Mob Museum recognizes 'Kefauver Day'
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas was free to Nevada residents.
The event was held in recognition of Kefauver Committee hearings on organized crime which took place in the same building in 1950.
Mayor Carolyn Goodman declared it 'Kefauver Day' and talked at the museum about Las Vegas' rich history.
"You will always see that organized crime is written about and movies made of it," Mayor Goodman said. "This is the authentic piece here, this is the only authentic piece."
If you missed out on Thursday's free admission, the museum is open for regular business every day of the week, except certain holidays.
