Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Schools across the Valley continue to celebrate American education week. On Thursday, students focused on the Each One Read One project. This is where school leaders select a single book and get all students and their families to read it.

"The correlation between student success and reading is paramount to a student's career in education so we try to make it family reading time, community reading time to get one book and have everybody read that book and talk about the book," explained Linda Young, a school board trustee.

This year's book selection is "The Boy on Fairfield Street" by Kathleen Krull. The book focuses on the early life of one of the most well know children's authors, Dr. Seuss.
