Nevada will receive part of drug settlement from GlaxoSmithKline
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Nevada attorney general's office has announced that Nevada will receive part of a $90 million drug settlement involving drug maker GlaxoSmithKline.
Nevada is one of 38 states that was included in the case involving the diabetes drug Avandia.
The drug maker was accused of unfair and deceptive practices by misrepresenting Avandia's cardiovascular risks and safety profile.
Nevada will receive about $1.5 million of the settlement.
