Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A young Las Vegas woman is still on the road to recovery and friends of her family is asking the community to help out.

Anne-Monique Lippett was left in a coma after she and her brother slammed into a big rig as they were driving home to Las Vegas.

She was in a coma for nearly 3 weeks. She is now out of it but has a long road to recovery ahead.

The medical costs are mounting and a fundraiser was held Wednesday night at a local Buffalo Wild Wings.

Fifteen percent of the profits went to the family to help deal with medical costs.

The family says they are planning another fundrasier in the future.
