Man accused of grabbing children at bus stop

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 20-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly trying to assault two young girls at a school bus stop.

On Wednesday, around 8:30 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received calls about a suspect who had grabbed small children at a bus stop.

The suspect was said to have approached two juvenile females, grabbed them and attempted to remove articles of their clothing.

Nearby parents and guardians intervened and tried to detain the suspect. After a brief altercation, the suspect ran away.

Officers responded to the area of Sirius and Castlewood Drive where the incident happened, and were given a description of the suspect and where he was last seen.

Officers located the suspect, 20-year-old Abdul Munem Jumaalkam. He was taken into custody and questioned by police. He was then arrested and transported to CCDC where he was booked for lewdness with a minor, under 14.
