Sentencing postponed for landlord accused of stealing
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The landlord accused of stealing money from the Paradise Spa Homeowners Association was supposed to be sentenced Wednesday, but he'll have to wait a few more weeks.
Massoud Aaron Yashouafar was the treasurer of the HOA at the time of the allegations two years ago.
The state attorney general said he pocketed more than $800,000 in insurance money, meant to fix up two buildings that burned in 2009 and 2010.
Yashouafar faces up to 10 years behind bars for each count, plus fines.
He's now expected to be sentenced on Jan. 9.
