Registration opens today for government surplus auction
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Pre-registration will open today for the last and largest government surplus auction in Las Vegas for 2012. The sale will take place on Nov. 17.
Pre-registration begins at 9 a.m. at the sales yard located in the county's storage lost at 4320 Stephanie St, off East Flamingo Road near the Dog Fancier's Park.
A business trailer has been set up on the site to serve as a registration office. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
Prospective bidders will need to present a valid ID. The auction starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The auction will feature about 250 vehicles and 500 lots of miscellaneous items, including computer, bicycles and lost and found merchandise from McCarran International Airport.
Prospective bidders can view some of the items when they register.

In addition to Clark County, participating agencies include McCarran International Airport, the local cities, the state of Nevada, UNLV, Las Vegas Convention Center, Clark County School District, Las Vegas Valley Water District, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, St. George, and Washington County, Utah.
