Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Tuesday's plea hearing for the two boys accused of killing six kittens was delayed until December.
Judge William Voy postponed the hearing pending the full mental health evaluations for the juveniles.
The court received the evaluations on Tuesday morning, but Deputy District Attorney, Michael Watson, said that wasn't enough time to review the results.
This is the 2nd time the plea hearing for the two 11-year-olds has been delayed. The two boys face seven felony counts of animal cruelty in death of kittens pelted with rocks.
Animal activists who have been following this case demonstrated outside the courthouse Tuesday. If convicted, activists want the maximum punishment for the boys.
"This is more than just an act of delinquency," Stacia Newman, Nevada Political Action for Animals, said. "This is cruel, it's intentional and it's malicious, very brutal what they did."
Tuesday court hearing was rescheduled for December 4th at 1:30 p.m.
