Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas couple was arrested in Santa Fe, Texas after allegedly abandoning their dogs in the back of a moving truck.
36-year-old Joseph Bakkedahl and his wife, 44-year-old Kristine Fisher were charged with animal cruelty.
Police said they got a call about an intoxicated man and woman who left a moving truck behind at a business there.
When investigators opened the truck, they found four small dogs in dirty crates with no food or water.
Police said the inside of the truck was very hot with no ventilation.
The dogs were taken to Galveston County Animal Control where they are being treated.
Two of the dogs may not survive.
