Man shot, killed at casino in North Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man was killed early this morning at the Lucky Club Casino on Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, calls were received at 2:41 a.m. reporting that a man had been shot.
Responding officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. The suspected shooter, 35-year-old Shonta Hammond, was being held by casino security.
The gunshot victim later died at University Medical Center.
Hammond was arrested for murder with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Hammond was booked into the Las Vegas City Jail. The victim's identity and official cause of death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
