UNLV event raises money for diabetes research
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Thousands of walkers were at UNLV to raise money for a diabetes cure.
About 3,500 people, including Superintendent Dwight Jones, laced up their tennis shoes and hit the pavement Saturday for the "Walk to Cure Diabetes."
The money raised will go towards funding research for preventing, treating and curing Type-1 Diabetes and its complications.
