Vegas airport hangar foam deploys, no fire found
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Officials say fire retardant foam deployed in a private aircraft hangar at McCarran International Airport, but no fire was reported and no injuries resulted.
Airport spokesman Chris Jones says crews are trying to determine what prompted the release of the white fluffy foam about mid-afternoon Thursday in a hangar on the west side of the airport near Las Vegas Boulevard.
A KLAS-TV news helicopter showed an aerial view of what appeared to be an aircraft inside and foam spilling out the open bay doors of the hangar.
County spokeswoman Stacey Welling says airport firefighters responded to the scene but determined there was no fire.
