'Serial 911 caller' arrested by Henderson police
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- A Henderson man is accused of calling 911 more than 3,600 times in the past year.
Police said 35-year-old Tuy Thai called 911 using his cellphone, tying up emergency lines and hanging up on dispatchers.
Thai was questioned in the past for his frequent 911 calls, but police said he always denied it or blamed someone else.
On Wednesday, officers witnessed him using his cellphone and pulled him over near his Henderson home.
Thai was arrested on 59 counts of unlawful use of 911. He was booked at the Henderson Detention Center.
He could face up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
