Woman attempts to rob southwest Valley bank

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police are searching for a woman who attempted to rob a bank in southwest Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The incident happened at about 11:25 a.m. at a bank near Rainbow Boulevard and Warm Springs Road.

Police said the woman handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller activated the robbery alarm and the woman left the bank without any cash.

The woman is described as in her forties, about 5-feet 6-inches tall with a medium build and shoulder-length black hair. She was last seen wearing glasses, a blue shirt and denim shorts.

Anyone with information on the attempted robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
