Campaigns mount last minute push for votes in Southern Nevada
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There were cheers in the parking lot at the Team Nevada office on West Tropicana Monday night.
"Yay Romney!"
Gen X-ers who spent the evening going door to door joined their elders manning the phones.
Emilee Asquith and Elsa Miller said they were enjoying the campaign and when asked how late they planned to work, Elsa answered, "Whatever they want us to do we'll go out.
Equally determined volunteers were manning the phones at an Obama campaign office in Henderson.
"This is really important. Getting people out to the polls is the most important thing because all of the work that we've done before will mean nothing if people don't go out and vote," said Barbara Armstrong-Johnson.
Monday night's phone calls weren't just about reminding people to vote. They were about recruiting volunteers to make sure the eligible Nevadans who didn't vote early get to the polls.
