Chefs for Kids organization visits students at Whitney Elementary
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- On Thursday, students at Whitney Elementary got a visit from the Chefs for Kids organization. The program is dedicated to ending malnutrition and hunger in children through education and awareness.
Whitney Elementary has the highest population of homeless children in the Valley. So, the kids learned to choose foods that provide the greatest benefit to their bodies and learn about the importance of physical activity. So far, the program has helped more than 41,000 children.
