Local Red Cross sending more volunteers east
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The local chapter of the American Red Cross is sending additional volunteers to help with hurricane relief efforts on the East Coast.
Six volunteers trained in disaster aid are being deployed to help with feeding and sheltering.
Nearly 11,000 people spent Monday night in more than 250 Red Cross shelters across 16 states. Red Cross officials expect more in the coming days.
