Camaro worth $95k stolen from Reno dealership
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Reno police are asking for the public's help finding a man and woman who used a stolen identity to make off with a new Chevrolet Camaro Panther worth $95,000.
Police say the pair entered Champion Chevrolet in Reno with false identification on Oct. 22. The woman presented an approved financial report she said she obtained online and then wrote a personal check as a down payment before leaving the dealership on Kietzke Lane with the car.
Police say the check was returned as fraudulent four days later.
Witnesses provided only a vague description of the male suspect but the black woman they are looking for is described as 5-foot-6, about 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
