Foundation provides new shoes for 500 children in need
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A local foundation marked a decade of service with its 10th annual Shoe Giveaway.
Saturday the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation fit 500 children with new shoes and socks. It took place at Jim Bridger Middle School in North Las Vegas.
During the event, the foundation hit the milestone of outfitting 30,000 local children in need.
"Shoes are a big deal for some of these children, some of them have never had a new pair of shoes, but much less given the opportunity to select any pair of shoes they want," said Goodie Two Shoes CEO Nikki Berti.
Kids also received backpacks, school supplies and dental care products.
