North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- In an effort to assist the Las Vegas military community, the Home Depot hosted a career workshop.

It was held in North Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.

The goal was to help military personnel transition back into the civilian workforce.

The company conducted sessions focused on job search strategies, resume building and interview tips.

The Home Depot employs more than 35,000 veterans and active duty military members.

Last year alone, the company hired more than 9,000 veterans.
