Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Retailers are gearing up for their busiest time of year. And if you don't mind answering phones for a few months, there are 400 jobs up for grabs that may interest you.

Although it's not yet Halloween, William-Sonoma Inc. is ready for Christmas. The company call center in Summerlin will more than double its workforce for the holiday season.

The company has already hired on nearly 400 new people, but they're looking for an additional 200 sales associates. Retailers are stacking their decks now, predicting sales to increase again this year.

"We're hiring now more than ever," said HR Manager, Mandy Metcalf. "We've definitely increased year after year and our sales are picking up quite a bit."

About 150 of those seasonal hires will be offered full time jobs. It's an opportunity of a lifetime for the long term unemployed in Las Vegas.

"We have a lot of people who have been out of work for quite awhile. It's a great opportunity to get back into the workplace," said Metcalf.

Another online retailer in is adding jobs for the season. Zappos.com will hire an additional 200 customer service employees. And you can also expect a decent paycheck from them. They're offering $11 an hour, five days a week.

William-Sonoma is holding a job fair Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Just go to their call center location in Summerlin to apply.

Zappos.com is accepting applications at AppleOne, Monday through Friday.
