Crowds gather in anticipation of Katy Perry, President Obama
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Crowds gathered Wednesday afternoon in anticipation for President Obama's speech and Katy Perry's performance in Las Vegas.
The event is set to take place at Doolittle Park, near West Lake Mead and H Street on Wednesday night.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Admission to the event is free, but a ticket is required. Those tickets were distributed at local campaign offices over the last few days.
Pop singer Katy Perry will perform in support of the President at the event.
Latest polling numbers show Obama leads Mitt Romney by a slight margin in Nevada. The state has become a focal point in the final stretch of each candidate's campaign.
With early voting underway, Obama has called on star power to help get out the vote.
Actress Eva Longoria rallied students at UNLV on Tuesday, urging them to vote early to re-elect President Obama.
Katy Perry is set to take the stage before President Obama speaks at 9:30 p.m.
Action News will live stream the speech on KTNV.com.
