Vicious attack inside local high school caught on tape
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Walking down the hallway at Chaparral High School, a video shows a girl viciously beaten. A student pulls her hair, punches her body and slams her head into a wall.
"I was sickened, I was appalled," Chaparral Principal David Wilson, said.
"She literally looks back at the camera and she attacks the child and it's an attack and it's unconscionable," Wilson said.
He can't say what will happen to the students involved, but an instance like this could result in expulsion or criminal charges.
Students at Chaparral said attacks like this don't happen often and when they saw the video, they had an adverse reaction.
"This looks pretty bad...wow...that's surprising," freshman Jacob Sumagit said.
"It's not nice...it's not nice at all," student Amber Roa said.
One student saw the attack, but she's afraid of retaliation. "It was bad. Honestly I was crying," she said. "It was my first day and I called my mom and told her I wanted to go home."
Students said the attack happened on Friday and the video, uploaded on Facebook, quickly spread.
Principal Wilson also said that the person that took the video and uploaded it could also face consequences.
