Retired Henderson firefighter convicted of tax crimes
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A retired Henderson firefighter was convicted of felony tax crimes by a federal jury on Wednesday.
53-year-old Dwight C. Jackson was convicted of five counts of willful tax evasion and one count of filing a false and fictitious claim.
Jackson is set to be sentenced on January 28 and faces up to 30 years in prison and fines up to $1.8 million.
Charges filed against Jackson alleged that he cheated on his taxes between 2004 and 2009 while he was employed as a fireman with the City of Henderson.
