Boys accused of killing kittens appear in court
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The two children accused of killing a litter of kittens appeared before a judge on Monday.
The 11-year-old boys allegedly pelted six kittens and the kittens' mother with rocks at an apartment complex on West Russell Road near Fort Apache.
They were arrested on Thursday, each on seven counts of animal cruelty.
A family court judge released the children, but both boys will remain under house arrest with ankle monitoring devices.
They are scheduled to appear in court again on October 30.
Each boy faces a maximum penalty of 30 days in a juvenile detention center and probation.
The boys were not identified because they are minors.
