Coroner IDs cyclist dead after crash in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities have identified a 59-year-old man who died after a Sunday morning bike crash in a Las Vegas neighborhood.
Clark County coroner's officials say Las Vegas resident Gilbert Bernhart Wehrli died after crashing about 10:15 a.m. on Cimarron Road, not far from Charleston Boulevard.
Witnesses say Wehrli was in the bike lane when he fell to the right and slid on the ground.
Emergency crews pronounced him dead on the scene.
Authorities say they're still trying to determine an exact cause of death. Police say preliminary information suggests Wehrli had a medical episode before falling from the bike.
