Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Local K-9 units prepared for being in the spotlight this weekend for an annual competition.
The K-9 Trial Competition is being held Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Orleans.
The competition is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free to the public.
On Saturday, K-9 units were preparing in, what's called, a live area search. Dogs had to find someone hiding, along with narcotics and explosives.
Many agencies are competing in Sunday's event; around 70 teams will be there.
The Orleans is located on West Tropicana Avenue.
