Police dogs being put in the spotlight at the Orleans
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spent time Friday showing off the skills of their K-9 units ahead of a big event this weekend.
On Sunday, Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. police dogs and their handlers from all over the Western U.S. will take part in a skills competition at the Orleans.
One event requires the K-9 and handler to move through an obstacle course.
This is the 26th year for the K-9 trials. 40 to 50 teams are expected to take part.
The event is free to the public.
