Hundreds of pairs of shoes donated to elementary students
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Children at Twin Lakes Elementary School are more prepared for the rest of the school year thanks to some generous donors.
50 volunteers from the Windermere Real Estate Office handed out more than 725 pairs of donated shoes to the kids.
The charity is so crucial because about 85-percent of the students at Twin Lakes are at or below the poverty level.
A number of other organizations helped to support the effort.
Walmart also donated a pair of socks to each student.
