Man who crashed into Spring Mountain bus stop appears in court
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Gary Lee Hosey, Jr., the man accused of being drunk and crashing into a bus stop and killing four people, appeared in a Las Vegas court Friday morning.
His preliminary hearing was scheduled to begin Friday. Hosey has chosen to waive the hearing and will be arraigned on Oct. 31, 2012.
24-year-old Hosey is accused of being under the influence when he lost control of his car and slammed into a bus stop located on Spring Mountain Road, near Decatur Boulevard.
Four people died and several more were injured.
Police say that Hosey's blood-alcohol was above the 0.08 legal limit but his lawyers are disputing that Hosey was drunk.
The district attorney's office has said that Hosey also tested positive for marijuana.
