Rad Science exhibit opening at Sahara West Library
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A new "radical" exhibit, sponsored by the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, is opening tomorrow at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
The "Tony Hawk Rad Science" exhibit will allow visitors to put themselves into the role of skateboards and scientist as they explore more than 25 interactive experiences in a realistic skate park setting, according to Marilyn Gillespie, executive director for the museum.
Students from the West Career and Technical Academy served as consultants during the development and design of the exhibit and will serve as docents while it is features at the library.
The exhibit is produced and toured by Las Vegas-based Exhibit IQ, who also produces the Las Vegas Science Exhibit.
The exhibit will be featured until Jan. 20, 2012. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Admission is $12 for adults; $10 for students, seniors and military; and $7 for children ages 3 to 11.
