Students attend driver safety event on UNLV campus
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Several organizations around the valley are working to make Las Vegas a safer place to live by getting young drivers to buckle up.
Law enforcement, the Safe Foundation and officials at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas hosted a teen driver safety event Tuesday on UNLV's campus to raise awareness about seat belt safety.
Students also signed a pledge to wear seats and got a chance to use a simulator to demonstrate what it's like to drive while impaired.
The goal of the event was to encourage young drivers to make good choices.
Teen Driver Safety Week wraps up Saturday with a candlelight vigil to remember teenagers who have lost their lives in car crashes.
