Stars of "Sister Wives" expected at UNLV panel
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The polygamist family that stars in the TLC reality show "Sister Wives" is speaking at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for a panel discussion on plural marriage and their new life in Nevada.
Kody Brown and his four wives -- Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn -- are set to appear at the on-campus event 6 p.m. Monday.
The Brown family previously lived in Utah, but has since moved to Las Vegas. They are challenging Utah's polygamist marriage ban in court.
UNLV assistant professor and licensed marriage and family therapist Markie Blumer will give an overview on research about polygamy before a discussion led by therapist Coreen Haym.
