"Rediscover Downtown" hopes to draw locals back downtown
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Downtown Las Vegas is in the spotlight again as organizers try to sell all the new developments to locals.
There's still so much to discover especially since that part of the city continues to reinvent itself. That's why businesses, casinos and entertainers are saying if you haven't seen downtown in a while you should see it now.
It's a day long celebration organized by the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance. It's a group of downtown business owners and others invested in its growth. The focus was locals. People who live here, but don't often think of going downtown to eat or play.
Folks were invited to enjoy the restaurants, shops and local museums. Local business owners say Rediscover Downtown Day is a step in the right direction.
The night ended with a free concert in front of the newly renovated D Casino by Bret Michaels of Poison.
