Rose Regatta takes place at Lake Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Rose Regatta took place Saturday at Lake Las Vegas.
68 dragon boat teams raced to raise money for uninsured women fighting breast cancer. All the money goes to the Red Rose Program at St. Rose Hospitals.
The program provides free breast health care to women who can't afford it.
Women received breast exams and mammograms for free, and if they were diagnosed, they will get the medical care they need.
Action News Anchor Beth Fisher was at the event, supporting the cause, and interviewing women who took part in the event, as well as breast cancer survivors.
