Pahrump man admits to inappropriate actions with child
Nye County, NV (KTNV) -- A Pahrump man was taken into custody Saturday on charges of lewdness with a minor child under age 14, and possession of child pornography.
In August, the Nye County Sheriff's Office began an investigation of 39-year-old Chris Jon (CJ) Rossitto, after receiving information he molested an 11-year-old child in Pahrump.
During an interview with Rossitto, he admitted to the lewd act and provided additional information which eventually led to a search warrant at Rossitto's home. The search revealed Rossitto was in possession of child pornography.
While evidence of possible additional sexual misconduct by Rossitto was uncovered, Rossitto was arrested and booked at Nye County Detention Center on Saturday. He was held on bail in the amount of $15,000.
Detectives are following up on several leads and the investigation is ongoing.
