Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Thursday was a busy day for florists, photographers and pastors. Lots of couples came to Las Vegas to tie the knot on 10-11-12.
Brittani Welch always knew he wedding day would be a date that she could remember but that wasn't enough.
But, she decided to choose 10-11-12 as her wedding date so that it would stick in her new husband's head too.
She wasn't the only one. 10-11-12 is a date that stood out on the calendar for many couples.
At least 44 couples were married on Thursday at the Chapel of Flowers near downtown Las Vegas.
And the Marriage Services Division for Clark County extended its hours because so many people wanted to get married on 10-11-12.
Weddings are big business in Las Vegas and contribute approximately $700 million a year in non-gaming revenue to Clark County.
There is still one more special date left in this calendar year: 12-12-12. That date in particular is expected to be an extremely busy one for the wedding industry in Las Vegas.
