Police search for missing North Las Vegas man
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police are searching for a man who disappeared from the North Las Vegas Care Center on Thursday.
Authorities say 57-year-old Lawrence Slaveter was last seen leaving the center at 3215 East Cheyenne Avenue at about 10 a.m. that morning, heading toward Pecos Road.
Salveter was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, black pants and brown shoes. He was carrying a bronze cane and possibly a brown paper bag and an extra pair of sandals.
Before leaving, police say Salveter told staff members he planned to visit the Social Security Office and then go to Ohio.
Salveter has medical issues that police say put him at risk without professional care.
