Charlie Frias Park officially opens
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Families have a new place to enjoy the great outdoors. Clark County Commissioners held the grand opening of Charlie Frias park Monday. It is 80 acres on the corner of Tropicana and Decatur with sports fields and playgrounds.
It is also home to a new flood control basin and natural conservation areas. It is named after philanthropist Charlie Frias who was active in a number of local organizations until his death in 2006.
