Fire leaves $55,000 in damage to home on Diablo

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A home near Russell Road and Tenaya Way went up in flames Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. on West Diablo Drive in the southwest part of the Valley.
When crews arrived, smoke was showing from the attic and interior of the single-story home.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it contained to the entryway and garage area.
No injuries were reported. A male occupant was home at the time, but was able to get out safely.
Crews said the fire started in the attic but the cause is under investigation.
Damage to the home is estimated at $55,000.
