Local voters react to presidential debates
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nevada Democrats and Republicans gathered across the valley Wednesday night for viewing parties to watch the presidential debate.
Both camps gave "thumbs-up" to their candidates. But even some Democrats said Republican Mitt Romney performed better than expected.
From the GOP faithful who gathered at the Team Nevada office on West Tropicana, to the crowd of Democrats watching the debate at Satay Thai Bistro on Paradise Road, debate watchers applauded and paid close attention to the talking points that mattered most to them.
Republicans said they felt Romney gave more specific examples of his plans for the next four years, and stayed on point more than President Obama.
Romney supporter Alex Zeller said, "This will be a turning point, that we've seen a stalemate up to this point, and I think it will be a break out moment for Governor Romney."
Obama supporter Sandy Eddy said, "As far as having his proper way of speaking about all of the things that he wanted to get across, I don't trust him. I President Obama."
The next presidential debate is set for October 16Th in New York.
