Global Gaming Expo returns to Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The future of gaming is being unveiled in Las Vegas this week.
G2E -- the Global Gaming Expo -- begins today at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
The event highlights the latest and greatest in slot machines and table games from manufacturers around the world.
Some of the most eye-catching new designs feature pop-culture icons like KISS, Judge Judy and Dolly Parton.
Popular cellphone games such as Plants vs. Zombies and Bejeweled are also debuting as slot machines this year.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Las Vegas' own "Pawn Stars" team Rick and Corey will officially open the exhibit hall.
They will be unveiling a new "Pawn Stars" slot machine as well.
As Internet gambling comes closer to becoming a reality in the United States, G2E is the ideal place to learn about the market and how industry leaders may have to drastically change the way they do business.
More than 26,000 people are attending the convention which lasts through Thursday.
