Flu shots available through the Southern Nevada Health District
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- October has arrived and with it comes flu season. Health officials want you to start protecting yourself now.
Starting today, the Southern Nevada Health District is offering flu vaccines and health experts recommend everyone six months or older should get one.
"Flu seasons are unpredictable," said Immunization Supervisor Joann Rupiper. "Flu is always around and it's good to protect yourself and others as well."
To get a flu shot head down to the clinic near S. Valley View and Meadows Lane. It's open from 8am until 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Flu shots start at $28. You can also stop by their East Las Vegas Public Health Center and Henderson Public Health Center.
SNHD is also offering the high dose flu shot and pneumonia vaccine for people 65 and older.
