Bass Pro Shops hosts Rattlesnake Avoidance Training
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- While living in the desert, it's important to be on the lookout for snakes.
Saturday, Bass Pro Shops held Rattlesnake Avoidance Training for dogs.
Pet-owners could take part in the program, to learn how to react if their pet gets bitten by a snake.
Organizers say the training is very important. "It's vital. Anytime you're going to be around snakes. Whether it's hiking, living on the outskirts of town, hunters; it's vital training," said John Potash, snake handler.
If you'd like to take part in the program, you have another opportunity Sunday. The program is taking walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Bass Pro Shops is located on Dean Martin Drive.
