Scooter operator suffers critical injuries in collision with van

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man is taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle while on a scooter.
It happened Friday just before 4:30 p.m. on East Flamingo Road at Pinecrest Circle.
Witnesses said a Nissan Quest van was turning left from westbound Flamingo to southbound Pinecrest, when it was impacted on the right side by a motor scooter.
The motor scooter was traveling east on Flamingo in the right turn lane.
The operator of the scooter, 40-year-old David Kim, was transported to Sunrise Hospital with critical injuries.
The driver and passenger in the van were not hurt.
The collision is under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
