NV Energy worker suffers burns while working on electrical box

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas Fire Department officials report an NV Energy worker received burns after being shocked while working inside an electrical box located at the intersection of West Washington Avenue and North Cimarron Road.

The incident occurred Friday at around 5:47 p.m. 
 
Three workers were inside the box doing work on it when one of them touched an electrical contact. 
 
There was a loud boom and the worker was heard screaming in pain.
 
The injured worker was transported to UMC Trauma with burns but non-life threatening injuries.
 
The two other workers did not suffer any injuries.
